The heroes go camping, and a group of odd warriors lead by a Saiya-jin named Turles land on the planet. Turles plants a magic Tree of Might on earth that will suck all the life from earth and produce an awesomely empowering fruit. After the heroes return home, King Kaio tells Goku about the Tree of Might, which has already taken root and will subsequently destroy the earth. King Kaio says it's to late, but Goko isn't convinced and the heroes all fly out to the tree. They all blast it at the same time, but it doesn't even make a dent.
The heroes fight against Turles' warriors until only Goku and Gohan are left. Gohan comes accross Turles, who looks a lot like Goku, and mistakes him for Goku. Turles grabs Gohan, creates an artifical moon, and makes Gohan turn into Oozaru mode. Spurred by the sight of his pet dragon, Gohan gains control and starts to attack Turles. As Turles fires a fatal shot at Gohan though, Goku shoots off Gohan's tail, returning him to a little boy and out of the way of Turles' shot.
Only Turles and Goku are left. Goku refuses to join Turles, and a fight ensues. Turles eats some of the tree's fruit and gains the upper hand in the battle. Goku refuses to give in though, and uses a large Genki-dama to blast Turles into the Tree of Might, destroying the tree and Turles, and restroing life to the planet earth.
