Basic Questions

What is Dragonball?
Dragonball is an original manga (Japanese comic book) created by Akira Toriyama based on Chinese legend. The series premiered in a Japanese magazine callled Shonen Jump before moving on to the small screen. The story starts in Dragonball as a humor piece, but as it moves to Dragonball Z it becomes a fighting story about warriors from earth that can manipulate their energy. It is over ten years old in Japan, but just taking foot here in the US.

When is Dragonball televised?
The only series currently being televised in the US (to my knowlegde) is Dragonball Z. For show times, see the TV scedule.

Advanced Questions

When will Cartoon Network show new episodes?
Season 4 has just finished on CN, from the Android to Cell Game saga, and Season 5 is slated to pick up where 4 left off in the fall of 2001.

What Funimation releases are coming up?
Since Cartoon Network has purchased the rest of Dragonball Z, Funimation will probably release the entire series. Cartoon Network has implied that Dragonball and Dragonball GT may be aired following the full run of Dragonball Z. For upcoming Funimation releases, see the news bar on the main page.

How many episodes are there?
Dragonball: 153
Dragonball Z: 291
Dragonball GT: 64

How is the Japanese version different from the American version?
In a word, censored. Seasons 1 and 2 were massively cut, with about 19% of every episode chopped out, on average. In season 3, the animation was left pretty much untouched, except for removing the occasional inappropriate gesture, but the dialog wasn't translated perfectly. There is no swearing in the Japanese version (take Planet Namek's word for it if you don't believe me), but it's still not the same.

What is manga?
Manga is essentially Japanese comics. The series Dragonball and Dragonball Z both appeared in manga form before anime form during their entire runs. Dragonball GT was released vice versa, but the manga was being done by Toei instead of Toriyama.

What do Z and GT stand for?
The GT stands for Grand Tour, and Z stands for ....... absolutely nothing. The Z was added to distinguish the two series on TV, but all the manga (DB and DBZ) was titled Dragonball.

Site Questions

What do you use to make your site?
I make my site on Allaire Homesite and do my graphics editing with whatever happens to be around. I'm a PC person.

Will you link me?
Maybe. It depends on the quality of your page. See the Links page for more details.

Can I link you?
Sure, go for it, but don't automatically expect a link in return. TNSTAAFL!

Will you give me a few site design tips?
I would if I could but I can't so I won't. Seriously though, I don't have time so please don't e-mail me about this; I'll just delete it.

Why doesn't file (filename - fill that in) appear properly?
It could be your browser, or I could have linked it incorrectly (probably not the later) but please just e-mail me and if it's my fault, I'll get it fixed right away.

Other Questions

Where can I buy Dragonball/Z/GT tapes?
There are some on the Product page. If you can't find them there, just go wherever you buy videos. If you're just looking for dubbed DBZ, I recommend Suncoast.

Can I use files from your site on mine?
You're really better off using your own images, but I understand that not everyone is adapt at scanning or doing screen captures. If you really a picture, you may use it; don't bother asking, just give a link and credit. Use only the pictures, trim off any borders and captions because those were added by me. Also, save the picture and put it on your own server. That's about it for restrictions. Keep in mind that borrowing a picture or two to use is different from copying an entire image gallery to create your own, which would make me very angry...

Will you join my Topsite/Webring/be my affiliate?
No, no, and maybe. Affiliation is drastically overused, in my experience, but if you have a high quality site that gets lots of hits (and therefore will actually help our sites gain hits), e-mail me with your URL and I'll take a look at your site then get back to you.

My question isn't here!
Well, that isn't a question (note the lack of a question mark), but thank you for at least looking here before bothering me. I appreciate when people try to make my life easier. E-mail me your question and I will answer it as promptly as possible, then maybe add it here to prevent the reoccurance.
