Tienshin-han

Tienshin-han is a powerful three eyed warrior from earth who makes his first appearance in Dragonball just before the coming of Piccolo-Daiamo. He is a student at Tsurusennin's school of assassins, and also spends much of his time protecting a young emperor named Chaozu who quickly becomes his best friend. Tienshin-han is the winner of that Tenichi Budocki that he first appears in, defeating Goku in the final round. When Piccolo-Daimao arrives, however, Tienshin-han's friend Chaozu and Goku's friend Kuririn are both killed and they work together to gather the dragonballs and restore their friends, starting a level of mutual respect. Tienshin-han fights Goku again at the next Tenichi Budocki, but this time he is defeated. During this fight, Tsurusennin tells Tienshin-han to kill Goku, which makes him see his master's evil and leave Tsurusennin's school forever.

In Dragonball Z, Tienshin-han is one of earth's most powerful warriors. During the Saiya-jin saga, he is one of the fighters who trains at Kami's Lookout to prepare for the coming Saiya-jins, and he is there at the fight with Nappa and Vegeta. Tienshin-han fights valiently against Nappa, but all he gets for his efforts is a lost arm. Then seeing his friend Chaozu die bravely, Tienshin-han gives up hope of surviving and expends the very last of his energy blasting Nappa, which kills him but doesn't harm the big Saiya-jin.

In the afterlife, Tienshin-han goes to King Kaio's with Chaozu, Yamcha and Piccolo where he trains hard and becomes much stronger, accelling at King Kaio's training excercises, though he had trouble making the god laugh. When the Ginyus come, he manages to defeat both Berter and Jase. Tienshin-han is wished back to earth the second time that Namek's dragonballs are used, and he goes back to his training with Chaozu.

Tienshin-han is present when the coming of the androids is disclosed, and he trains like everyone else to prepare for their coming. He goes to the fight with Android #19 and helps to chase Dr. Gero, but doesn't do anything to important. At Vegeta's battle with Android #18, he does jump into the fight to try and help Trunks but is defeated by Android #17 almost instantly. Then he goes off with Piccolo, helping to chase the mass killer Cell. Unsuccessful, they both return to Kame House where they find the androids. Tienshin-han and the others stay behind (and out of the way) while Piccolo goes to fight the androids, but when Cell arrives and Piccolo's energy fades, Tienshin-han can't stand it and flies to the battle. He uses every bit of energy he has to blast Cell repeatedly and gives Android #18 and Android #16 time to escape, then falls powerless to the earth. He would have been killed by Cell but Goku teleports in, grabs him, and teleports back to Kami's. During the Cell game, Tienshin-han's lower power reverts him to a spectator and as the Buu saga and Dragonball GT develop, Tienshin-han gradually fades out of the series.
