Chi-chi

Chi-chi is the daughter of the Ox King and Goku's wife. She is first introduced to the story during the original Dragonball series. When Goku and the gang travel to Fry Pan Mountain to find a dragonball, they meet the Ox King, whose castle is on the mountain of fire. Ox sends Goku to find Kamesennin, and on the way Goku meets Chi-chi, who already left to find the turtle hermit. She is a fierce little warrior with a sharp blade that fires from her cap. Goku gives her a ride on Kinto'un, and then performs his standard crotch peek and declares that she is a girl. Chi-chi blushes, and asks Goku if he is asking to marry her. Goku doesn't know what's going on, and ends up getting engaged. They return and put out the fire on Fry Pan Mountain, and Chi-chi isn't seen again for a while.

During the 25th Tenichi Budocki, the third one held in Dragonball, Chi-chi is a competitor and reaches the final eight. She loses her quarterfinal match there, but recognizes Goku and reminds him of his previous commitment. Not one to back out on his word, Goku agrees and they get married after the tournament, ending the Dragonball series.

In Dragonball Z, Chi-chi is reintroduced as the over protective mother of Gohan. She is constantly nagging Goku about dragging Gohan off to fights and taking him away from his studies. She goes slightly overboard in pursuing this end, occasionally flying off the handle and making Gohan study at the most inopportune times. She disapproves of Goku's friends, because they draw Gohan away from his studies, and of fighting, for the same reason. Her role through Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT is fairly minor, and she isn't nearly as hard on Goten when he comes along.
