Brolly is probably the most popular character that is never in the TV series. He appears in three Dragonball Z movies, #8, #10, and #11. He is a Saiya-jin who was born on Vegeta the same day as Goku. Brolly was born with a power level of 10,000 which was enormous, and he was also born insane with a sharp hatred for Goku, who cried too much at the hospital. King Vegeta, fearing Brolly's insane power, had Brolly and his father Paragus executed, but Paragus and Bolly survived and escaped to another planet which they called New Vegeta.
In Movie #8, Paragus lures Vegeta to the planet New Vegeta, offering him a ruling position, but saying that he must defeat a Super Saiya-jin to become their leader. Vegeta gladly goes and finds the Super Saiya-jin, Brolly. Basically everyone else from Dragonball comes with them, including Goku. Seeing Goku, who he hates, and Vegeta, whose father had him killed, Brolly flies into a rage of insanity. He begins to fight Goku and Vegeta, killing everyone he can get his hands on including his own father.
Brolly eventually powers up to Ultimate Super Saiya-jin and defeats Goku and Vegeta. Goku asks everyone their to give him their energy, but since Vegeta refuses Brolly is still beating on Goku. Then Vegeta gives in and Goku becomes stronger, quickly beating Brolly. The planet then explodes from the massive energies as Goku teleports everyone back to earth, leaving Brolly to die.
In Movie #10, Brolly comes to earth, having somehow survived, and bent on killing Goku. He rampages around earth, trying to find Goku, who is dead at the time, and finds Goten and Trunks. Brolly mistakes Goten for Goku and starts to fight him. Sensing the powers, Gohan rushes to the battle and the two of them get into a fireball duel with Brolly. They aren't strong enough, but the dragonballs suddenly fall out of Goten's bag and when he says "I wish my father was here" Goku suddenly appears and the three Saiya-jins together blast Brolly clear off the planet and into the sun.
In Movie #11, Brolly is cloned and reappears at a bio engineering lab. Trunks uses some chemicals from the lab to melt Brolly, and the chemicals rush towards a nearby city. Brolly reforms, much larger from the additional chemicals in his body, but then Kuririn blasts some sea water onto everything which causes the chemicals to harden, freezing the gigantic Brolly clone in its tracks. Trunks and Goten easily blast the Brolly clone to pieces.
